A replacement needle and nozzle pair of 0.2 mm diameter for the AK interactive Top Line airbrush, which comes as standard with a 0.3 mm nozzle. It is not an airbrush and not a paint; these are service parts with which the airbrush is repaired after damage to the needle or converted to a finer line.
The diameter of the nozzle decides how narrow a line the airbrush will hold and how thin a paint it needs. The 0.2 is at home in small work: narrow camouflage bands in small scales, panel shading, soft transitions on figures, fine exhaust staining. In return it asks for more careful thinning and lower pressure, because thick paint will not pass through a fine nozzle and the spray starts to skip and spit.
Flush the airbrush before taking it apart so that dried paint does not get into the thread. Tighten the nozzle gently and only until it seats, because overtightening deforms it and the airbrush then draws in air. Insert the needle slowly and never push it through the nozzle by force; a bent tip is the most frequent cause of spray to one side. After work, flush with a suitable cleaner and check the tip of the needle against the light, ideally with a magnifier.
These are replacement parts, not a complete airbrush. Work in a ventilated space when cleaning and follow the instructions of the maker of the cleaner you use.
