This is a versatile photo-etched accessory, not a kit. Aber (the Polish maker of photo-etched parts) supplies a thin brass sheet with a regular mesh with apertures of 1.5 x 1.0 mm. The medium-sized rectangular apertures are clearly visible and versatile.
An etched brass mesh replaces coarsely molded plastic grilles with an accurate metal part. The 1.5 x 1.0 mm pattern will serve on engine deck grilles, fan covers, baskets and larger ventilation areas. The material is thin, holds its shape and is easy to cut to size.
Cut the part out with sharp photo-etch scissors or break it off the fret, and degrease the surface beforehand. Glue the mesh with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with a two-part adhesive; apply a primer for metal before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other materials are not included in the package.
