Mineshima Nokoru Nipper RN01

Modeling nippers from the Japanese brand Mineshima, made of stainless steel. Unlike flush cut nippers, these deliberately leave a small sprue gate remnant on the part. The part is therefore not nipped too close to its body and is protected from stress whitening of the plastic, from tearing and from material being pulled out.

Use

• Separating parts from the sprues with a safe margin from the surface of the part.
• A first, coarser step in removing a part; the remaining stub is then cleaned up with a knife, a file or sandpaper.
• Gentle separation of delicate and thin parts that are at risk of cracking.

Who they are for

For modelers who want to separate parts as gently as possible and to control the final cleanup of the sprue gate by hand. Suitable as a complement to thin flush cutting nippers.

The nippers are a sharp tool; use them on plastic only and protect your fingers. Do not cut metal or photo-etched parts with them, so that the edge is not damaged.
