The American BC-659 and BC-620 field radio sets of the Second World War in 1:48 scale. Separate parts for interiors and dioramas, supplied unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The BC-659 and BC-620 radio sets belonged to American signals equipment of the Second World War. They took the form of a sturdy case with a control panel on the front and were installed in vehicles as well as carried. In a scene they show that this is a command or signals post and not casually parked equipment.
The set brings the radio sets designated BC-659 and BC-620 in 1:48 scale as separate parts. They suit an open interior, the platform of a vehicle and figures in a rear-area scene. They serve just as well in a scene with an aircraft, where signals equipment is often set out right on the airfield.
Think about the placement first: into an enclosed space, glue the part in before you close the space up. Once degreased, apply a thin base coat, or the detail of the front panel will be lost. Draw the controls out with a fine brush and bring the seams out with a darker glaze; in 1:48 scale restraint is more effective than dense detail.
The accessory will be used by modelers of vehicles and dioramas in 1:48 scale who lack interior equipment. The parts are small, so tweezers and good light come in handy. The package does not hold a model, figures, paints or glue, unless stated otherwise.
