RED COLOR SET – ARTISTIC DENSE ACRYLIC COLOR

The red set of Artistic Dense acrylic paints

A set of bottled acrylics thinnable with water from the Artistic Dense figure range by AK interactive. This is not a kit, but painting material for figures and busts. Red is a color almost everyone has trouble with in practice: a rich red is hard to shade, because adding black turns it into brown, and hard to lighten, because adding white produces pink. A set of several red tones solves exactly that, as the transitions are made within the scale, from a cool wine red to a warm orange red.

Use

• Lay the base onto a neutral or slightly dark surface, so that the red does not lose its depth.
• For the shadow choose a darker red shifted toward violet, not black. For the highlight a warmer, more orange tone, not white.
• Richness is achieved by layering thinned glazes over an evened-out base, not with one heavy layer.
• On large areas, for example on a cloak, work smoothly and do not take breaks in the middle of an area, so that no visible edge appears.
• Red pigments like to stay in the bristles. Rinse the brush as you go, otherwise you will carry the red into the other shades.
• Mix the bottles thoroughly before work and close them carefully after use.

Who the set is for

For figure painters who paint fabrics, cloaks, facings and heraldry and want to master red without mixing blind. It is also useful for modelers who use red only occasionally on details and need the certainty that the shades go together.

The paints are intended for modeling use. Keep them out of the reach of children, work in a well-ventilated area and close the bottles carefully after use.
