A resin set of plugs and chocks for a model of the Su-25 attack aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. It holds the equipment that the ground crew puts on a parked machine: covers for the openings on the airframe and chocks that keep the aircraft from moving. The set is printed in resin and belongs with a finished model. It is not an aircraft kit.
The Su-25 is an attack aircraft built for work low over the battlefield and for operation from simple surfaces. Its engines are on the sides of the fuselage and their intakes are low above the ground, so there is a risk of ingesting stones and dust. Covering the openings is therefore no formality here but a necessity. On a model it is a detail that plants the machine in a field setting and sets it apart from a clean display scene.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade over a working surface. Sand the mating faces, so that a cover sits down tightly. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. On an attack aircraft, stronger weathering suits the model better than on a fighter, so the covers can be dusty and scuffed and still colorful.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
