Spider Pro

Spider Pro — a scenery accessory by AK interactive

The item belongs to the diorama part of the AK interactive range, that is among materials and aids for creating scenes, not among kits or paints. It is not a model of an airplane, a vehicle or a figure. The name of the product is a brand name and in itself it does not say what exactly the package contains or in what format, and those figures are not stated here either — you will find them in the manufacturer's data.

Where it belongs in a scene

Scenery accessories are set into a diorama only at the moment when the terrain and the basic coloring are finished. Only onto a finished base are the details laid that give a scene depth and a story: abandoned corners of an interior, a neglected nook, spaces nobody has touched for a long time. Such elements work best in small quantity and in places the eye goes to by itself — by a door frame, in the shadow under a ceiling, in the corner between crates.

Recommended procedure

• First finish the terrain, the color and the basic patina; add the accessories only at the end.
• Try the placement out loose and only then fix it — moving a finished detail tends to be difficult.
• Keep a sense of measure. An overcrowded scene loses credibility faster than an empty one.
• Unify an accessory with the rest of the scene with a fine pigment or a subdued varnish, so that it does not look like a foreign element stuck on.
• Before buying, check the format and contents of the package so that it matches the scale of your scene.

Who it is for

For modelers who build dioramas and vignettes and are looking for an accessory that will give a scene the atmosphere of a neglected or abandoned place. It will serve equally in a historical scene and in fantasy and science fiction work, where diorama materials are handled more freely.

This is not a kit. Please check the contents and format of the package against the manufacturer's data; work according to the manufacturer's directions and keep out of the reach of children.
