Sunrise Blue from the Game Air program: a light blue with a warm cast, bottled so that it goes straight into the airbrush without further thinning.
Responsibility details are not available.
Sunrise Blue is a bright blue that is closer to a morning sky than to naval darkness. In a palette intended for fantasy subjects it takes the role of the color for cloaks, wings, magical effects and everything that should visually step forward on the model. The bottling consistency matches the demands of an airbrush, so the paint comes out of the bottle ready for work and is thinned only exceptionally, with the finest nozzles.
The same palette places rich night and royal blues alongside this shade. Those have considerably greater covering power and are useful when an area is to be a single dark color with no further treatment. A light blue, on the other hand, needs an undercoat to build on, but it manages what dark shades cannot: legible light on an edge and a smooth transition toward the edge of an area. If you are laying down only one layer, the darker one is the one to pick; as soon as you work with gradation, you need both.
The second choice is the thicker form of the same color intended for the brush. That suits small areas and finishing detail, whereas spraying covers large continuous parts faster and without a visible texture of strokes.
Blue pigments are among those that settle to the bottom most readily, so shake the bottle thoroughly and preferably repeatedly during longer work. Paint that has not been mixed comes out weaker and the shade then differs from piece to piece. When work is finished, flush the airbrush before the acrylic dries in the needle.
The coat takes glazing and drybrushing; it is only advisable to give each layer enough time to cure.
