Tamiya Cement (40 ml)

Tamiya Cement is the classic liquid modeling cement from Tamiya intended for building plastic (polystyrene) models. The bottle holds 40 ml. It is a thicker type of cement than the thin capillary Tamiya Extra Thin — it dissolves the surface of the styrene and chemically fuses the joined parts together, so that once dry the joint is strong and practically impossible to take apart. A brush is built into the cap of the bottle and applies the cement precisely onto the surface being glued. The stable square bottle reduces the risk of tipping it over.

Use

• gluing the plastic parts of polystyrene kits (common modeling plastic)
• with the brush in the cap, a thin layer is applied to one of the mating surfaces, the parts are pressed together and held for a moment
• thanks to the thicker consistency it holds well even on larger mating surfaces and does not run as easily as a thin cement
• it is a good idea to wipe off any excess cement so that it does not damage the surrounding surface or details

Suitable for modelers of every level who build classic plastic kits and need a reliable general-purpose cement for styrene. Intended for polystyrene; it does not bond metal, resin or most hard plastics such as ABS as reliably as styrene.
