Woodland – Tombstones, HO (1:87)

A set of scenery castings of tombstones in the HO railroad scale (1:87) from the American brand Woodland (Woodland Scenics). It contains an assortment of different shapes – plain slabs, rounded stones, crosses and obelisks – that let you create a realistic cemetery or a quiet memorial corner on a layout or in a diorama. It is not a model kit but a set of ready scenery elements.

Use

  • Clean the castings of any flash and remains of sprue gates.
  • Paint the tombstones in shades of stone, concrete or weathered marble and finish them with a dry brush and a wash to bring out the detail.
  • Place them in the prepared scenery and fix them with glue; fill in around them with grass, bushes and leaves.
