Pilot figures in a high-altitude suit, set No. 10, 1:48 is a set of resin pilot figures in the complete high-altitude survival suit, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds resin figures of pilots dressed in the complete high-altitude survival suit, which the manufacturer designates with the abbreviation VMSK, in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for one. The bulky suit gives the figure an entirely different silhouette from an ordinary flight suit.
Crews that fly at high altitude and over the sea wear a complete high-altitude survival outfit with a helmet of its own. The rig protects the pilot when cabin pressure drops and at the same time gives him a chance of surviving an ejection over cold water. Against an ordinary flight suit it is considerably bulkier and moving in it is noticeably more cumbersome, which shows on the figure. It is worn above all by the crews of heavy interceptors and carrier-based aircraft.
Wash the 3D-printed figures in warm soapy water and cut the print supports away with a sharp blade, carefully around the fingers and the gear. Sand them with respiratory protection and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a thin primer as the base, paint the faces and hands with a brush and lighten the shades step by step, and finish the flight suit with a dark wash in the folds. Add gloss varnish to the helmet and the visor.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
