Weathering Water-Based Paint Gouache Basic White is a water-thinnable weathering gouache from Gunze in a basic white shade. It comes as a thick paste-like paint in a tube, so it can be applied directly and worked into a raised deposit, or on the contrary thinned with water into a fine veil. It is not a covering paint for a whole model but a medium for added effects.

How the gouache is worked

Make sure of the base, therefore, with a finish that water does not attack, and fix the finished effect with a varnish at the end.

White behaves treacherously on a dark base: what looks like a light veil while being applied lightens still further once it is dry. Judge the strength of the effect only on a dry surface, therefore, and even the excess out with a damp brush.
