Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the American M5 Stuart light tank in cartoon form from the World War Toons range. The model has deliberately shortened and exaggerated shapes, so it has no conventional scale; it is what is known as a deformed model. The parts are pre-colored and join by snapping together, so the set can be assembled without glue and without painting. The turret rotates and the barrel can be elevated. Meng is a Chinese manufacturer known for good tooling, and even this simpler range benefits from it.
The M5 Stuart was an American light tank of the Second World War, derived from the older M3. Instead of a radial aircraft engine it received a pair of automotive eight-cylinder engines, which simplified fuel supply and improved operational reliability. It was armed with a 37 mm gun and machine guns and was used mainly for reconnaissance, for securing flanks and for infantry support, because against heavier opponents its armament and armor were not enough. It served with the US Army and with the Allies on most battlefields.
The set suits beginners and building together with children. Remove the parts with sprue cutters and clean up the remains of the gates, otherwise the joints will not seat. Anyone who wants to go further can spray the model, add decals and a little patina; a wash and a dry brush work excellently even on a cartoon. The tracks are flexible, so they only need to be fitted and joined. Before spraying the pre-colored parts a primer is advisable, so that the paint holds on the smooth plastic.
The model is supplied unassembled; the parts are in colored plastic and join by snapping together. Glue and paints are not needed, but they can be used if you want to paint it yourself.
