Yellow in semi-gloss

A ready yellow shade from the Aqueous line, mixed for the finish of the machine Demi Trainer in Chuchu's colors. The degree of sheen is in the name itself: semi-gloss, a surface between flat and high gloss. For robots it is a rewarding choice, because a semi-gloss surface does not mirror its surroundings the way car paint does, and decals and a washable paint for panel lines still slide over it better than over a flat one.

Why yellow needs a light base

Yellow pigment covers worst of all shades. Laid straight onto dark or colored plastic it looks dull and greenish, and adding further layers tends to make that worse, because the surface thickens before the shade clears. Lay the area in white or light gray first and bring the yellow over it in several thin layers only then. The difference shows right after the first of them.

Application

• Stir the paint thoroughly before use, the pigment settles to the bottom
• Suitable for brush and for airbrush
• For spraying, thin it with the thinner of the same line as the manufacturer instructs
• Wash and degrease the plastic first, or the paint beads up
• Let the surface dry between layers and clean the tools at once
