This item is neither a model nor a part of one. It is a tool: a brass plate measuring 140 x 39 mm with a precisely etched, regularly repeating relief, which the Polish maker Aber lists under the designation pattern 16. It serves as a die - the modeler lays thin material on it and impresses the texture into it, then uses that as the surface of a part made by his own hand.
In building your own parts and in improving production kits - floor and ramp surfaces, panels, covers, sheet metal parts of a cargo bed, industrial elements in dioramas or details of railway models. A surface with real relief responds markedly better to paint, to a dry brush and to patina than a smooth one.
For more experienced modelers and diorama builders who work by the scratchbuilding method. The plate is not worn down by use, so you can create any number of parts from it.
Watch out for the sharp etched edges of the brass. Keep out of the reach of small children. Material for impressing, glue and paints are not included in the package.
