The Entry Grade Doraemon kit from the Japanese company Bandai. The parts are pre-colored in the plastic and snap together, so you build the model without glue, paints or special tools.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic model from the Japanese brand Bandai that carries the range designation Entry Grade in its name. Bandai ranges differ in how demanding and how intricate the build is, but the principle is common to all: this is a snap-fit kit where the parts are colored directly in the plastic and snap together. You therefore finish the model without glue and without painting. The scale is not given in the name.
Doraemon is one of the best known characters of Japanese popular culture, a robot cat with a round silhouette and strong colors. It is precisely that simplicity of shape that makes the subject a rewarding one for a pre-colored kit: the large areas of color are handled as separate parts, so the character looks complete as soon as it is put together.
This model is a typical candidate for an absolutely first build. You need no glue, no thinners and no paints, so most of the safety worries fall away as well: sprue cutters for plastic and a cutting mat will do. Nip the parts off a little away from the part and level the rest of the gate; on light-colored surfaces the mark shows most clearly. Anyone who wants to take the result further can pick out the engraving lightly and unify the surface with a varnish, but with a purely colorful character of this kind even the bare build is perfectly respectable. With children, watch above all the handling of the sprue cutters and the small parts.
The parts snap together and are pre-colored. Glue and paints are not needed to finish it.
