A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line in the Faded Eggplant Grey shade, that is, a gray tone with a cast toward purple.
Responsibility details are not available.
Faded Eggplant Grey is a gray shade with a cast toward purple of the kind that appears on faded finishes. Such tones suit places where a surface is meant to look well used, and also for toning down a base coat; a purely neutral gray looks flat and machine-made beside them.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use so that the pigment settled at the bottom is stirred in. Thin the paint with the thinner intended for this line and in the ratio given in the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; do not use thinners from other lines or water until you have checked in those instructions that they are suitable. Try the shade on a piece of plastic beforehand, because it reads differently in the jar and on the model.
Apply in several thin coats and let the paint become tacky in between. Faded tones work best when they are not laid down evenly over the whole area: spray them slightly toward the middle of the panels and leave the edges darker, which gives the surface depth. Before decals, seal the area with a gloss varnish and even out the sheen as needed once you are finished.
The paint will be appreciated by modelers who work with fading shades and surface shading, whether on aircraft, vehicles or figures. It also suits as a transitional color between two gray fields, where a sharp boundary would look hard. Close the bottle carefully after work and store it cool and out of the reach of children. Thinner, brushes and other accessories are not included, unless stated otherwise.
