A thin textured sheet 0.50 mm thick with lengthwise grooves every 1.69 mm, format 15 x 30 cm. It imitates the board siding of a freight car.
Responsibility details are not available.
The grid is formed by parallel grooves 1.69 mm apart, which across a surface the eye reads as vertical boards set side by side. That is how freight cars, warehouse doors and the walls of farm buildings were boarded, and it saves the modeler the work that would otherwise go into gluing many separate strips, one of which is always crooked.
A spacing of 1.69 mm converts to about fifteen centimeters in 1:87, twelve in 1:72, eight in 1:48 and just under six in 1:35. It therefore fits railroad and building subjects in the smaller scales most faithfully, while in the large reductions it serves rather as narrow battening or as ceiling boarding.
The small thickness is an advantage here. A sheet half a millimeter thick can be glued straight over an existing kit wall without creating a step at the edges that would be visible. That is exactly what is needed by anyone who finds the molded boards too shallow, who lost the texture under their hand while sanding, or who is covering a hole left by a badly drilled opening.
The material is cut with a knife along a ruler; usually a few light strokes are enough and the sheet breaks. It is better to cut with the direction of the grooves, because a perpendicular cut deflects the texture slightly. A surface of 15 x 30 cm is a supply for several builds and the remains come in handy for the roofs of shelters or the floors of sheds. The offcuts are worth keeping, because a narrow strip of boarding suits a spot under a window or behind a truck bed.
