This is a gray-blue shade defined by the number RAL 5008. RAL is the German color reference in which every tone has a four-digit number and the first digit places the shade in a color group; the 5000 series belongs to blue tones. The number is therefore a more reliable guide than a verbal name, which diverges between manufacturers. Judge the exact appearance of the shade by the color chart and by the label. A finished model tends to look livelier when the pure shade is tuned a little further: a finish on a real machine lightens over time, fills with dust and wears through on the edges.
The paint belongs to the Orange Line range from Hataka. Use the thinner intended for this range and keep the thinning ratio and the method of application according to the instructions given by the manufacturer on the packaging. Stir the bottle well before work; during storage the pigment settles at the bottom and unstirred paint comes out other than you expect. Apply several thin coats with a pause, a single heavy coat fills the engraving. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand.
It suits where you need a darker gray-blue tone to the RAL reference, whether as the main finish or for partial areas and accessories. Work in a well-ventilated space and close the bottle carefully after taking paint out, so that it does not thicken.
