AMMO Grey for Yellow Sand (enamel filter)

The Grey for Yellow Sand filter from AMMO of Mig Jimenez is a ready-mixed enamel (solvent-based) product for adjusting the shade of a painted model gently. It is not a covering paint and not a wash that flows into engraved detail, but a filter that shifts the tone of a whole surface. The gray shade is tuned for yellow sand bases and similar light desert camouflage schemes, to which it gives a cooler, unified cast. It comes in a bottle of about 35 ml, ready for use.

Use

• Applied with a dampened brush in a thin coat over a flat or semi-gloss base, without flooding the surface
• It cools and unifies the sandy shade, enlivens the camouflage and adds depth
• It can be layered to build the effect up gradually
• Thinned and cleaned with enamel thinner (mineral spirits), not with water
