Paint Forge Hex 2 Stencils M brings the second variant of the hexagonal pattern in the smaller of the available formats. It suits finer parts and work without an airbrush.
Responsibility details are not available.
The smaller format of the stencil with the Hex 2 hexagon pattern from Paint Forge. The motif corresponds to the larger L variant, and the size of the aid is what changes. A smaller stencil is easier to hold in one hand, slides more easily between protruding details and does not get in the way on a part that has little space around it.
You do not necessarily have to spray the hexagons. On a small area a makeup sponge works well: you pick up a minimum of paint, wipe the excess off and stipple straight down through the stencil. A slightly irregular but lively surface comes out. The second route is an almost dry brush led perpendicular to the area. In both cases the same rule holds — more weak passes, no strokes to the side, otherwise the paint gets under the edge and the pattern bleeds.
Before you lay the stencil on a finished model, run the pattern over a piece of plastic or an old spoon sprayed with the same base coat. Within two minutes you will find out whether the contrast you have chosen suits you and how much the paint runs under. That saves by far the most work of all the tips for spraying through a stencil that exist.
It is an aid for painting, not a kit and not an accessory for a particular model.
