HH-60G PAVE HAWK USAF is a plastic kit of a rescue helicopter in a super-deformed compact form, which builds quickly and needs no display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
The compact line builds on shortened proportions: the fuselage is shrunken while the cockpit and the rotor are enlarged, so a cute caricature of the real machine arises. The kit is small, there are few parts and the finished model fits on a shelf by a computer. No scale is given for this line, because the shape deliberately does not match a reduction.
The HH-60G Pave Hawk is a US Air Force special for the search and rescue of downed crews. It is derived from the army Black Hawk, but has in addition a boom for refueling in flight, an increased fuel load, a winch above the side door and equipment for night flying over unfamiliar terrain. Crews fly it low and often in worse weather, because a rescue usually takes place over hostile territory. The machines carry side machine gun positions and in service they have been deployed in practically all the operations of the last decades, from desert conflicts to rescue work in natural disasters.
A short build suits a restful job between two more demanding projects. The areas are large and smooth, so an even coat comes out well. The dark base of the helicopter is enlivened with a dry brush on the edges and gentle accentuation of the rivets. Fit the rotor blades only once the painting is finished.
The parts wait in the box unglued and with no finish. The package holds no cement, brushes or paints, unless stated otherwise.
