Mr.Paint IJNAF J3 Hai iro (Ash Gray) is a lacquer (solvent-based) modeling shade intended exclusively for spraying with an airbrush. The paint comes pre-thinned to a consistency suitable for the airbrush and ready to use; if needed, it can be adjusted with the matching thinner from the same manufacturer. The usual package holds 30 ml.
The shade represents the light ash gray historically designated Hai iro, meaning ash color. It was the typical early overall light color of Japanese naval aircraft, found on machines of the opening period of the war and on trainers. The paint is therefore rewarding for models that capture the early appearance of Japanese naval aviation before dark upper camouflage was introduced.
For modelers and collectors of Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft who work with an airbrush and want to capture the early light appearance of these machines faithfully. It is not suitable for brush application or for work without an airbrush.
A lacquer, solvent-based and flammable product. Use it only in a well-ventilated space, away from open flame and sources of ignition, and keep it away from children. Respiratory protection is recommended.
