Mr.Paint modeling paint in the Insignia Red shade, the rich red of American national insignia and highly visible surfaces.
Responsibility details are not available.
Insignia Red is a rich red that the US Air Force and Navy used on national insignia and on surfaces meant to be visible from a distance. It appears in the stripe of the national insignia, on warning markings near the fuselage, and on the bold bands of trainer aircraft. The same type of red was also carried by aircraft deployed in Arctic regions, where colored areas were meant to make the aircraft easier to spot on snow.
On the national insignia and prominent surfaces of American aircraft, on trainer aircraft with colored bands, and on small warning details such as covers and markings near intakes. This type of red also suits models of other countries' hardware wherever you need a darker, brownish red without an orange tinge.
Mix the paint before use, since the pigment settles. Rich red has less coverage than dark shades, so apply it in thin coats, preferably over a light base coat or primer color, or you will build up unnecessary layers and lose surface detail. Always mask off the area first with a masking film or tape, applying both before spraying and removing them once the paint has dried. Check the manufacturer's information for the recommended thinner, dilution ratio, and tool cleaning.
For modelers building American aircraft who want the insignia and warning surfaces sprayed rather than applied as decals. The package contains only the paint; thinner, primer, and masks are not included, unless stated otherwise.
