A modeling paint from the IONIC range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The shade is listed under the name Dark Magenta. It is the darkened position of the color between red and violet, that is, a tone that keeps its saturation but does not look loud. Within the IONIC range it stands as the darkest of three variants of the same shade.
It most often serves as a shadow color under a lighter magenta: it is laid into recesses, into the folds of fabric and along the edges of areas that are to recede into the background. On its own it also works as the full color of a dark cloak, of armor or of a prominent part of fantasy machinery. Darker tones also cover better, so it suits a first coat under saturated red and violet areas as well.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Apply in thin coats and let each one dry; one heavy coat floods a raised surface and the detail is lost in it. When shading, thin the paint and lead it into the recesses with a fine brush, so that it does not run onto the raised areas. You can soften the transition between a dark and a light tone by overlapping the coats gradually and letting them dry between. For an airbrush, thin the paint with the thinner intended for this range according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and try the ratio out on a scrap piece of plastic.
It suits both figure modelers and builders of vehicles who need a dark shadow tone in the magenta range. Wipe the thread after work and close the bottle carefully. The model, brushes, thinner and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
