A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for detailing the outer surface of the American fighter-bomber Republic F-105 Thunderchief in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a set of fine photo-etched metal parts meant for the Hobby Boss kit. This is an exterior set - it adds fine outer elements, covers, grilles and plates that look coarse in plastic. The parts are not color-printed; once glued on, they are painted together with the model.
The F-105 Thunderchief was an American supersonic fighter-bomber from Republic, used mainly in the Vietnam War. The F-105G version served in the Wild Weasel role, suppressing enemy anti-aircraft defenses.
Separate the parts from the etched fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface, form the bends with a bending tool or a ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Because these are outer parts, spray the fitted elements and work them into the color scheme of the model. The set belongs in the hands of a more advanced modeler.
This is a supplementary photo-etched set, not an aircraft model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
