A water-thinnable third-generation acrylic paint in the shade Hai-iro, which is Japanese for gray. It is a light gray tone used on the aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy, typical above all of the earlier machines. The paint has high pigmentation, a scale-accurate finish and good covering power.

Use

• The basic light gray shade of the airframes of Japanese naval aircraft.
• Applied by brush as well as by airbrush; for the airbrush, thin it with a third-generation acrylic thinner or with water.
• Once dry it resists oils, enamels and washes, so it will take further weathering.
• Suitable as a base under chipping finishes and for weathering worn airframes.
