A package of a hundred metal jump rings in diameters of four, five, six, seven, nine and eleven millimeters. The rings open out, so they can be opened with pliers, threaded on and closed again without any soldering. The manufacturer supplies them in an antique bronze patina shade, so they do not look like new jewelry on a model.
A ring is opened with two pairs of pliers by sliding the ends past each other sideways, not by pulling them apart widthwise. Pulling them apart widthwise deforms the ring and it will never close properly again. Once threaded on, the ends go back with the same movement and are pressed gently together. If the joint has to bear a load, a drop of super glue can be added. Degrease the rings and apply a primer before painting, as paint will not hold on bare smooth metal.
For figure painters, for builders of dioramas with chains and fetters and for anyone who needs a small metal link across a range of sizes. The mix helps because with small accessories you cannot tell in advance which diameter will fit, and trying it out on a finished model is too late.
Keep small metal parts out of the reach of children under three years, as there is a risk of swallowing. Protect your eyes when opening the rings with pliers.
