A light modeling knife with a soft grip that is held like a pencil and does not press into the fingers even during longer work. This is size No. 1, that is, the most common type for fine modeling cuts. The knife is supplied with a blade, and a whole range of other shapes fits the same handle, from the classic pointed one through scribing blades to rounded ones, so you can adapt the tool to whatever you are doing. Spare blades are sold separately and are changed in a few seconds.
Clamp the blade in the holder properly so that it cannot turn, and always guide the tool away from your body when cutting. Change a blunt blade at once, because it slips and needs more pressure, and that is exactly how injuries happen. Work on a cutting mat, otherwise the blade suffers and so does the table. After working with glue, wipe the handle so that it does not stay sticky.
For every modeler. It is the first tool a builder buys and the last one to be given up. Anyone who builds regularly will appreciate two handles with different blades, so that they do not have to be swapped over all the time. The soft grip pays off exactly during long work, when a hard metal handle starts to press into the fingers.
The tool is very sharp. Store it out of the reach of children, put the cap on after work and put used blades into a closed container.
