Proedge spare blades for the C607 scalpel in a package of ten pieces — a sharp edge for exact modeling cuts in plastic, resin and film.

A package of ten spare blades for the Proedge modeling scalpel of the C607 series. A blade is a consumable: when working with hard plastic, resin and photo-etched parts the edge goes blunt faster than expected, and a blunt blade does not cut the material but tears it and pushes it aside. A supply of ten pieces means it pays to change the edge as soon as it stops cutting by itself, instead of pressing on the scalpel.
The blade has to sit firmly in the holder and without play, otherwise it tilts during the cut and the line wanders. Always cut away from the body, and rather with several light strokes than with one strong one, as a thin edge breaks off easily under pressure. First nip plastic parts off the sprue with sprue cutters a little way from the part and only then level the remains of the gate with the blade; this saves the edge as well as the part itself. Leave unused blades in their original packaging so that the edge is not knocked against the rest of your tools, and wipe the remains of glue off with a cloth and alcohol.
The blades are very sharp. Store them out of the reach of children, put used blades into a closed container and do not throw them loose into the trash.
