Large Hexagonal Punch & Die from RP Toolz is a large hexagonal punch set with which you cut accurate hexagons from thin material to imitate bolts, nuts and hatches.

This is a modeling tool, not a kit. The set holds a die, six punches in a range of roughly 1.5 to 5 mm and a small hammer. You lay the material on the die, fit the punch of the matching size and cut an accurate hexagon with a tap. The result is regular and repeatable, which is vital with hexagons, because an irregularly cut nut shows on a model at once.
Work on a firm and stable surface, so that the blow of the hammer is not dissipated, because on a soft table the result is not crisp. Hold the punch at a right angle and strike once decisively rather than repeatedly and weakly. Thin plastic sheet punches well even with a single blow, and with metal foil count on laying a firmer material under the die. Keep the punched pieces in a dish, because they are small and easily lost. Keep the punches clean and dry.
