Leakage Spray Equipment is an aid for the final surface work on a model, specifically for the traces of leaking operating fluids. On real equipment such traces appear around filler necks, caps, tank lids and hose joints: the fluid runs out, flows down the metal and leaves a dark streak with a blurred edge. It is exactly this kind of soiling that is applied by spraying.
Apply the effect only onto a dry surface sealed with varnish, so that the base color does not lift underneath it. Work from a light spray to a heavier one and test the strength of the effect first on a scrap of plastic sprayed in the same shade as the model. Traces of a leak have a direction: on vertical surfaces they run downwards, on horizontal ones they trail aft with the airflow in motion. You will find the pressure setting, the distance and the recommended thinning in the manufacturer's instructions.
It suits modelers who already have basic experience with an airbrush and want to bring a model to the state where it looks used. It comes into its own on military equipment, on aircraft and on a diorama, that is everywhere a finished model should look worn by service.
Paints, thinner, an airbrush and the model are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
