A pale sky blue from the acrylic range of AMMO of Mig Jimenez, supplied as a water-thinnable acrylic in a dropper bottle. The shade belongs among the light cool blues that appear on models on the lower surfaces of aircraft, on the light areas of uniforms and as a color accent on small parts. It is applied with a brush and with an airbrush and cleaned up with water.
An acrylic film is durable but not indestructible, and light surfaces are more sensitive to rubbing and fingerprints than dark ones. The order of the steps therefore decides. Once the paint is dry, lay down a gloss clear coat, settle the decals onto it, tune them with a decal softener and let them dry. Weathering follows, that is washes and any pigments, and the whole model is evened out at the end with a flat or semi-gloss clear coat. The reverse order, decals straight onto flat paint, leads to silvering at the edges. Before you start clear coating, let the paint dry for at least overnight, because the thinner in the clear coat could lift a fresh acrylic.
For builders of aircraft models who need light blue undersides, and for modelers of figures and accessories looking for a pale cool blue on the palette.
Shake before use. Work in a ventilated space, use a respirator when spraying and store the paint out of the reach of children.
