A liquid pigment from the Liquid Pigments line. The pigment is mixed into a liquid carrier, it is applied with a brush exactly on the spot and once dry a dry matte pigment layer remains, not a color film. The DARK INDUSTRIAL DUST shade aims somewhere other than the earthy tones: it imitates the dark greasy dust of a working environment, a mixture of soot, grinding dust, brake wear and oily grime. It is exactly this cast that sets equipment from a factory, a marshalling yard or a depot apart from a vehicle that has driven across a field. The volume of the package, the type of carrier and the composition are given on the label from the manufacturer.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use; the pigment settles to the bottom.
• Apply onto a matte surface; on gloss varnish the pigment does not hold.
• Build the effect up in layers and concentrate it where grime really gathers: around the running gear, by rivets, in corners, under edges and around service openings.
• On horizontal surfaces let the pigment lie; on vertical ones draw it from top to bottom, which gives a natural rain streak.
• Once it has dried, pick the surplus up with a dry brush or a cotton bud.
• Seal the finished effect with a pigment fixer or a matte varnish.
