A Tamiya modeling paint from the LP range, the shade LP-33 gray green, associated with the aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
Responsibility details are not available.
A shade from the LP range by Tamiya, listed under the designation LP-33 as gray green. Its name ties it to the Imperial Japanese Navy, whose aircraft carried a light gray green finish above all in the first years of the war in the Pacific, that is before dark green took over on the upper surfaces. The shade is understated and needs help on a model: an area of it on its own looks flat until it is broken up by graded lightening in the middle of the panels and by light dusting.
Use the thinner intended for this range and keep to the thinning ratio given by the manufacturer on the packaging. Stir the bottle thoroughly before taking paint out, or the pigment will stay settled at the bottom. With an airbrush, lay down several thin coats so that the engraving and the fine surface detail stay visible. With a brush, work the strokes briskly and do not go back into a coat that has gone tacky. Wash and degrease the model before painting, because on a greasy surface the paint beads and does not hold.
For builders of Japanese naval aircraft of the early period and for anyone looking for a muted gray green tone. Work in a well-ventilated space and close the bottle carefully after use so that the paint does not thicken.
The thinner, brushes and airbrush are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The volume of the package is given on the packaging.
