A Tamiya model paint from the LP line in the shade flat red, designation LP-79.
Responsibility details are not available.
The shade LP-79 Flat Red, that is a flat red, from the Tamiya LP paint line. A flat finish means that the dried surface gives back no sheen, which matches the service coatings of real equipment. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, or use the thinner intended for this line.
Red appears on models both across whole areas and in small details. It comes into play on fire and rescue equipment, on sports cars, on the national markings and bands of aircraft, on signal elements and flags, on hydrants and safety features in a scene, and also on small items such as intake plugs and sensor covers with streamers. In a flat finish it takes later shadow accents, dusting and wear well.
Mix the bottle well before use so that the settled pigment is dispersed again. Red, together with yellow, is among the shades with lower covering power, so apply it over a light base and in several thin coats. Over a dark base it darkens and turns brown, while over a white or gray base it stays saturated. Let the surface dry between coats, otherwise it will wrinkle.
The paint suits models of vehicles and aircraft as well as figures and dioramas. The flat surface is slightly absorbent, so pigments and oil paints used in weathering hold on it well. The model, the thinner and the tools for applying it are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
