About product

AK Interactive Matte Medium (17 ml)

Matte Medium is an acrylic auxiliary medium, that is, a colorless matte water-based binder. It is NOT a paint - it contains no pigment and does not cover. It serves to thin acrylic paints without losing adhesion, to reduce gloss and to even a matte surface out. It comes in a 17 ml bottle and is thinned with water.

Use

  • Added to acrylic paints to mat the resulting shade down.
  • Thins paint for brush and airbrush without breaking the binder.
  • Evens the gloss between painted areas to matte.
  • Usable as a matte binder for pigments and glazes.

Who it is for

For modelers and figure painters who work with acrylic paints and need to control gloss and consistency.

Water-thinnable, low odor. Even so, work in a ventilated room and protect from frost.
