This is a gaming base for a figure, not a display plinth for a cabinet. In tabletop battle games the diameter of a base is a binding figure: movement and reaches are measured from its edge and the spacing of models in a formation is held by its footprint. That is exactly why bases cannot be swapped for one another at will. The abbreviation MDF in the name refers to the fiberboard the piece is cut from, and the designation (Legion) refers to the size standard by which the whole range is graded. A diameter of 70 mm is already aimed at large models that would not fit an ordinary infantry base.
