Decorative clock hands laser-cut from MDF board, from the steampunk line of the Spanish brand Green Stuff World. In shape they draw on historical clock movements - elongated, pierced and decorated in a Victorian spirit. It is neither a working clock mechanism nor a spare part for one, but a decorative feature that gives a scene or a product an immediately recognizable steampunk hand.
The hands will be appreciated by modelers and players of tabletop games who build steampunk scenery, and equally by jewelers and artists outside modeling. They combine well with gears and other features of the same range - together they create the impression of a dismantled clock movement. MDF has a smooth surface, so it takes ordinary hobby finishes, stains and metallic effects imitating brass, old silver or patinated bronze without trouble.
MDF is a pressed fiberboard. Darker edges after a laser cut are a normal side effect of the technology, not a fault. The material is absorbent, so place a finished decoration in an interior and not in permanent damp. The number of pieces in the package, their lengths and the thickness of the board are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
