Medium Green-Blue

The paint

Medium Green-Blue is a medium-saturated green-blue shade from the Orange Line range by Hataka. Shades on the border between green and blue are among those that are hard to mix from an ordinary palette and whose result rarely comes out the same twice; a ready shade from a bottle therefore saves work and possible respraying.

Use

The paint is intended for plastic models, resin and metal accessories and figures. Shake the bottle well before work, so that the settled pigments are mixed in. The thinner made for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the packaging; follow those instructions. Apply in thin coats and let the surface set between them, otherwise pools form in the deeper places and the fine surface relief is wiped away.

Application tips

Test the shade on an offcut from the kit first, so that you know how it covers and how it looks once dry; color shades tend to be more saturated in the bottle than on the model. Prime the base first, above all where plastic meets filler or parts of another material. If you then want to make the area matte or glossy, use the matching varnish once it has dried, because the paint itself will not keep the degree of sheen after weathering. Wipe the bottle after use and close it carefully.
