Modeling equipment, not a kit. The board is metal, that is rigid and dimensionally stable. The point of such an aid is simple: sandpaper held in the fingers follows the pressure of the fingers, and a surface sanded with it will never be entirely flat. Stuck on a hard board it sands exactly as flat as the board is. The black version is one of the color variants the manufacturer offers in the range.

Use

• Stick self-adhesive sandpaper of the chosen grit onto the board and sand with a drawing stroke across the whole surface, not in circles.
• On a dark surface the light sanding dust is clearly visible, which helps you tell when the paper is clogged and stops cutting.
• It suits leveling joints, puttied areas and surfaces that will later be painted to a gloss.
• When sanding near engraved lines, guide the board parallel with the line, keep the pressure low and check how much you have already removed.
• Several boards with different grits speed the work up more than one on which the paper is constantly changed.

Who it is for

For modelers who want flat surfaces without waviness, and for anyone who does a lot of puttying. It proves itself on aircraft models with seams running the whole length of the fuselage as well as on car bodies, where every unevenness shows once the paint goes on. It is one of those aids that it pays to have several of at once, because moving between grits then costs no time.

Do not breathe in the sanding dust, work in a ventilated space and use a respirator for longer work.
