Six acrylic shades from the airbrush range, put together for the equipment of the Polish Air Force after 1990. It covers the gray camouflage layers of supersonic machines, the all-green coat of the helicopters and two shades for cockpits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Polish Air Force is interesting in that machines from both sides of the former dividing line served side by side in it for a long time. Over one base there were MiG-29s taken over from the equipment of the former German Democratic Republic, over another the American F-16C and D in the Block 52 plus configuration. Add to that Su-22M4 attack aircraft, M-346 trainers with the home name Bielik and a numerous helicopter component from the Mi-2 through the Mi-8 and Mi-17 to the Mi-24 gunship and the home-built W-3. The set reflects this double track: gray shades to the American FS standard serve on the jets, the all-green covers the helicopters.
The range is intended mainly for the airbrush. The pigment is finely ground and the binder thinned so that it passes even through a nozzle of about two tenths of a millimeter without clogging. A brush can be used on small parts, but it is not suited to a large area, because visible strokes remain.
Gray camouflage coats merge easily into one uniform area on a model. It helps to detune the shades slightly, that is to add a drop of a lighter color to the inner fields of the panels.
