A modeling paint from the Aqua line by Mr.Paint in the shade RLM 81 Braunviolett, variant II. The manufacturer's part number is MRP-A074.
Responsibility details are not available.
The German RLM aircraft standard assigned the number 81 to a brown-violet shade, which in German is called Braunviolett. It belongs to the group of shades of the late phase of the Second World War and on models it appears in camouflage schemes of upper surfaces. This bottle carries variant II, the second form of the same number in the manufacturer's range.
Smooth, wash and degrease the surface, mix the container thoroughly and apply the paint in several thin coats with a short pause between them. A heavy coat floods the fine drawing of the panel lines and creates ridges on the edges that are harder to sand off than they were to apply. Thin it with the thinner intended for this line of paints; the thinning ratio and the recommended pressure are given by the manufacturer in its instructions.
Two variants of the same number are useful to the practical modeler who builds several machines side by side: two models sprayed with different forms stop looking like one finish in two pieces. Check which tone matches your machine against the references or the painting diagram in the kit. The brown-violet is dark and grows heavy on a model quickly, so add a drop of a lighter tone inside the panels and let an irregular texture arise. Lead the transitions between camouflage fields softly, at low pressure and from a shorter distance.
For modelers of German aircraft with a late camouflage scheme and for those who want both forms of the shade at hand. This is a single shade; thinner and other accessories are supplied separately, unless stated otherwise.
