Turnbuckles with anchors, type A. Small parts with which the bracing wires on an aircraft model are completed.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of small parts for modelers who rig bracing wires on their aircraft. The accessory stands in for the tensioning coupling and for its anchor in the structure, that is the two places at which a rigged thread on a model most often gives itself away as a mere piece of cotton. The range offers two versions, type A and type B; this one is type A.
The procedure is usually the same: first the anchor is fitted, the thread or thin wire is led into it and the tension is adjusted until the bracing sits straight and without sag. Only then is the joint secured with glue. It pays to work one wire at a time and to let the glue cure each time, otherwise the previous joint comes loose.
For builders of biplanes and of machines with wire bracing who are no longer satisfied by a bare thread between the wings. The parts are small, so tweezers and a steady hand are needed.
The package contains the listed accessories only. The model, the rigging thread, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
