A finished collector figure by Bandai from the line issued for the twentieth anniversary of the Naruto series. It is not a kit; the figure comes complete and painted from the factory, so all you do is take it out of the box and stand it on a shelf. It renders the main hero of the series in the role of Hokage, that is, at the moment when the loud outsider from the academy had grown into the leader of his own village. Anniversary lines tend to be popular with collectors precisely because they bet on the moments that close something off in a story.
Naruto Uzumaki is the main character of the series of the same name. He grows up as an orphan whom the inhabitants of the Leaf Village keep away from because of what is shut inside him, and the whole story is really one long road toward being accepted by those around him. From the first episodes his declared goal is to become Hokage - the highest representative and the strongest protector of the village - and it is exactly this dream that gives the narrative its pull. The character's identifying marks are brilliant yellow hair, the whiskers on his cheeks and the orange color of his clothing; in the role of Hokage a ceremonial cloak is added to that.
The figure is not modified in any way; it is only a matter of choosing a spot. Display it out of direct sunlight, because rich orange and yellow lose their richness in the sun fastest of all shades. Remove dust from the hair and from the folds of the cloak with a soft brush, not with a cloth. Do not use solvents or cleaning chemicals on the painted surface. It is sensible to keep the original box; with anniversary releases it is often part of the value.
