Yahu Models 1:32 F4U-1A Corsair is a pre-colored photo-etched instrument panel for authentically fitting out the cockpit of models of the American carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit, but a finished pre-colored photo-etched instrument panel in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Yahu Models. The panel is layered from several etched sheets with color printing and a backing that imitates the instrument glazing, so the dials look as though they are under glass. It is installed straight into the cockpit in place of the plastic part and needs no painting.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier-based fighter of the Second World War, easily recognized by its inverted gull wing. The F4U-1A version brought a raised cockpit for a better view on landing. The Corsair became one of the most successful fighters of the Pacific.
Separate the panel with a sharp knife and clean up the attachment points. It is glued on with a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue; take care that none runs onto the printing. Replace or thin down the plastic panel as needed. Polish the layered panel only lightly, so that the instrument glazing stays glossy.
This is an accessory for the cockpit, not a model in its own right. Glue and the kit are not included in the package.
