Finished scenery growth representing an untended, that is unmown, meadow in spring coloring. Compared with a regular lawn the growth is taller, of varying height and irregular, with several shades of green together. The material is simply placed and glued, with nothing to build and nothing to sprinkle.

What the vegetation looks like and where it fits

An unmown meadow belongs where a regular lawn would look out of place: on abandoned land, behind a barn, at the edge of a forest, along a disused industrial siding, into a ditch by a road or around a wrecked vehicle. The spring coloring with its predominance of fresh green in turn says that the scene takes place at the start of the growing season, that is before drying out and before mowing.

Usage tips

Lay the growth only onto finished, painted and dusted terrain. Try the intended spot dry first, tear or cut the piece to an irregular shape as needed, since a sharp straight edge does not arise in nature. It is glued with PVA wood glue, and a drop of cyanoacrylate will serve for a firm hold on a hard substrate. Hide the transition between the growth and the surrounding soil with a sprinkled fine scatter, grit or pigment, so that the growth does not look like a glued-on carpet. You can match the coloring with a light overspray of heavily thinned paint from above or by dusting with pigment, always only very lightly and once dry. With taller growth, allow for the fact that it will cover the ankles of figures and the lower edge of running gear. So fine-tune the placement only with the figures and vehicles standing in position.
