Paint Forge Numbers Stencils M offers numeric characters in the smaller of the available formats. The choice for finer markings, where a number is meant to be legible but not dominant.
Responsibility details are not available.
The smaller variant of the numeral stencil from Paint Forge. The motif corresponds to size L, and the format of the aid is what differs. A smaller stencil suits everywhere a number is meant to be a caption rather than a bold element of a scheme — on accessories, crates, pieces of gear or on smaller models.
With small characters the result is decided before spraying even starts. The paint has to be thinned more than usual, otherwise it will clog in a narrow cutout and the character will lose its shape. Set the pressure as low as possible and lead the nozzle close. Ideally make three or four very weak passes and let the paint set between them — saturation is reached by repetition, not by the amount of paint at once. If some numeral does clog anyway, fix it with a toothpick or the tip of a scalpel before the paint hardens.
What is interesting is that a small sprayed number looks realistic even when it is not perfect. A scuffed, partly broken or lightly dusted numeral matches the way markings on real hardware look after a few months of service. So you do not have to chase a perfect edge — with a little weathering a small irregularity becomes part of the model's story.
The stencil serves for applying paint, and it is not a kit or a set of decals.
