OAK AUTUMN LEAVES 28MM / 1:72 (7GR BAG)

AK interactive oak autumn leaves for 28 mm and 1:72

A ready-made scenery material for dioramas and figure bases. It is not a kit and not a paint, but loose leaves used to make autumn leaf fall on paths and in ditches, thinned-out tree canopies or drifts of leaves in recesses and among roots. The shape matches an oak leaf and the shade is autumnal, that is brown, rust and ocher tones. It is a seven-gram bag intended for 28 mm figures and for 1:72 scale. The maker also does the same leaves in a version for the larger scales; this pack is the smaller one.

Use

• Finish the terrain first; the leaves come as the last layer onto a surface that is already done and weathered.
• Spread the leaf fall unevenly; in nature it piles up by obstacles, in tracks and in hollows.
• Apply the glue to the ground and sprinkle the leaves onto it in small doses.
• Fix with thinned PVA glue dropped on with a pipette, so that the layer does not go limp.
• Build tree canopies on fine foliage; autumn leaves on a bare twig will only slide off.
• Work a few leaves onto the running gear of vehicles and onto figures' boots as well; it holds the scene together.

Who the material is for

For builders of small dioramas, for wargamers finishing 28 mm bases and for modelers who want an autumn mood without the labor of making individual leaves. Even a beginner will manage it; the difficulty lies rather in a feel for where the leaves would actually lie. It pays to look at a photograph of a real autumn wood before you start, because leaf fall never lies evenly but piles up where the wind has carried it, while elsewhere the ground is almost bare.

A fine loose material. Do not inhale it, keep it out of the reach of young children and ventilate while fixing it with glue.
