Option Armor for Commander Type is a Bandai add-on armor set in a white finish for the Alto type robot model. It contains add-on parts only; the robot itself is not included in the package.

A set of add-on armor parts, not a model of a robot in its own right. The package contains injection-molded plastic parts in white that fit onto the base Alto type robot model and turn it into the commander form. The parts are snap-fit: they click together and the plastic is already colored, so assembly needs neither glue nor paint.
Bandai's modular robot lines are built on the idea that one base machine can be re-equipped for different roles. The commander form typically adds more prominent head and torso covers and further accessories, which set the machine apart from the ordinary machines in a formation. The set can also be used as a source of parts for your own modifications, or combined with further sets from the same system.
Nip the parts off a little away from the surface and finish the sprue gate remnant with a sharp knife, so that no white stress marks appear on the edges. Painting is not necessary, but a matte varnish and a fine panel wash will give the surface depth and suppress the shine of the plastic. If you are going to spray, use a primer first: smooth pre-colored plastic otherwise takes paint less well. White parts will not forgive imprecise work with a knife, because every scratch shows on them; it pays to work slowly and with a fresh blade.
This is an add-on set of parts, not a complete model. The base robot, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
